"Megan Patten-Fellows’ FACSIMILE is a witty and highly enjoyable comedy, set at Christmas packed with one-liners and physical comedy. FACSIMILE takes the relatable day-to-day of office politics, and turns it on its head, evolving into a nail-biting whodunnit with twists and turns that keep the audience on their toes.
This festive production immersed the audience with a simple office set, the layout providing so much of what the story needs, that we forget it’s all set in one room, with characters moving in and out of the set seamlessly, taking the audience on a journey that spans multiple days.
The characters themselves are brilliantly played by Chesham’s community actors, a success for Phoenix Players and its performers. Standing out from the ensemble with comedy radiating from every line, is Phoenix Players’ newest member, James Knell. His characterisation in the character of ‘Benji’ had the audience completely immersed, a triumph for his debut appearance with the company."
